Lower Bay Cottage Location

As you may have guessed Lower Bay Cottage is located just behind the ever popular Lower Bay Beach on Bequia's beautiful West coast. A simple property - a real hideaway and an ideal retreat for guests wishing to connect to the real Caribbean experience.

Views

The cottage boasts panoramic views from balconies on both levels of the house encompassing Lower Bay beach, the ocean stretching from Lower Bay straight down into Port Elizabeth harbour and to the north sighting mainland St Vincent - watch the ferries and yachts sailing in out of Admiralty Bay.

Tropical Garden

To the rear of the house is a purpose built BBQ area with stone seating, natural stone table and built in fireplace with grill. Surrounding the cottage are a range of fruit trees available to be harvested as required. including Plums, mangoes, Sapadillo, Sugarcane &Cinnamon all on site in season

Layout

On the ground level there is an outdoor tap for rinsing off any sand brought backup from the beach. The first level of the cottage contains the open plan kitchen & lounge which opens out onto the balcony dining area with the stunning sea views. There is also a bathroom on this level. The second floor contains 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Both bedrooms open up onto decking with those same gorgeous views. The Master bedroom contains a double bed, mosquito net and standing fan. The second bedroom contains a single bed + additional single if required.

Solar Garden lights

The property has recently made available solar lights around the garden and a bunch of battery candles for guests to place where they like for extra lighting.

Access

Guests Please note that this property can be accessed on foot only. Vehicle hire not recommended as parking is only available a 7 minute walk from the cottage. taxis would be better used who can easily drive part way up the hill to the stone steps. Access from the main Lower Bay road is via a stone pathway laden with tropical fruit trees This is an ideal spot for those looking for a simple beach retreat and don't mind the short but steep walk up hill, just a 3 - 5 min walk from the beach.
