Gumbo Limbo possibly has one of the best locations on Bequia - situated directly above the golden sand of Princess Margaret Beach. Gumbo Limbo consists of 2 self contained villas - a 2 bedroom upper level and a lower studio apartment. This great vacation base overlooks Bequia's best beach, and is just a stroll away from the warm turquoise waters, where you can take a dip or explore some fantastic snorkeling spots. There is a wooden dinghy dock and Jack's Beach Bar located just below the villa - great for a cool drink, or maybe a quick Speedboat trip into Admiralty Bay or the popular nearby Lower Bay Beach. The bustling harbour town of Port Elizabeth can be reached by strolling along the Belmont Coastal Walkway or a 5 minute drive.

Pool

The pool & deck area installed for the 2015 season is a fantastic addition to the property - making it one of the most sought after rentals on the island. The spacious deck provides the ideal spot to sit and relax and take in those breathtaking views and yacht activities below. The pool and deck is shared with any guests staying in the neighbouring property, Piperie.

Caribbean Style Bequia villa rental

Gumbo Limbo has lots of typical Caribbean charm decorated in bright, fresh colours with gingerbread trim - with the addition of a pool the villa really does have it all for a superb Caribbean beach location.

Living Space

The living area in the upper level of Gumbo Limbo is open plan and comfortable with a tv and board games to keep you entertained after a hard day of Bequia exploring! This villa is a short water taxi from the busy Port Elizabeth Harbour, and from here you can arrange many activities, as well as day cruises to places like the fabulous Tobago Cays, or Mustique. The living space has large double doors that open out onto the balcony, allowing a nice breeze and feeling of space. WiFi is available on the balcony of this lovely villa.

Kitchen and dining areas

The kitchens are both well equipped with all you will need during your Bequia vacation. They are open plan, so you can entertain and still be social whilst preparing your meals. On the upper level, there is a nice big breakfast bar with high stools. Above the breakfast bar, there are fans installed in the high ceilings, to keep you cool and feeling refreshed whilst you dine. There is also a simple outside dining area. In the studio, you have the choice of eating either at the dining table inside, or al fresco out on the balcony or even on the pool deck below.

3 double bedrooms

The upper level of this lovely Bequia villa rental has two airy bedrooms (one double & one twin) on either side of the living space, both of which open out onto the balcony, so you can wake up and look out onto those wonderful views of Princess Margaret Beach and Admiralty Bay. The bedrooms also have nice, high wooden ceilings, glass screen windows, and the breeze coming in from the open double doors keeps you nice and cool. The studio apartment contains a comfortable double bed which also faces doors that open out onto the balcony. Gumbo Limbo has 3 bathrooms, 2 upstairs and 1 in the studio.

Extra feature

Up a small flight of stairs on the upper level, there is a small mezzanine floor that acts as a great 'look out' from where you can see the beautiful sights that Bequia has to offer. This is a great little space to escape and relax, and take in your surroundings.

The upper level and studio apartment can be rented together or separately, and work perfectly either way for up to 6 guests.

Gumbo Limbo works well for large groups visiting Bequia for a wedding or family/friends reunion, especially when linked with other villas that are very close by, including: Piperie, Princess Hill, Turtle Point and Flamingo
