Madame Jardin Magazine Beach, Grenada Island, Grenada

Located in the southwest of Grenada, Madame Jardin sits on a gently elevated position overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The house has five en suite double bedrooms, all with balconies and lovely sea views. There is also a self contained Garden Room with a sofa bed.

Madame Jardin was built in 2010 with a style that combines the classic Caribbean 'plantation house' with a contemporary twist.

The accommodation is divided between the Main House, which can sleep up to seven people and the adjacent Guest House which sleeps four people. Because of this layout, the property is equally suitable for both large and small parties.

Everything about Madame Jardin has been designed to maximise the enjoyment of this beautiful location.

Garden & Beach

There is a large pool for lounging and swimming. and a gentle stroll through the tropical gardens. will lead you straight onto a stunning white, sandy beach. Perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

Pool & Terrace

A spacious covered verandah with a generous seating and dining area overlooks the pool, garden and sea. The large outside terrace is paved in shell stone, and all the furniture is new, stylish and relaxed.

Spacious & Light Living Spaces

The ethos behind Madame Jardin was to create a cool, spacious and comfortable home from home. Subtle contemporary Caribbean colours have been used in the furnishings and decor, while Italian tiles have been laid throughout the interior.

The indoor sitting room has a flat screen TV, DVD player and comprehensive sound system, switchable to the outside terrace if required. The house has It's own Wifi, and the entire downstairs area is equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning.

The kitchen is designed to be practical and spacious and is equipped with everything you could need. It opens via a door and breakfast bar onto the outside dining area, where there is also a gas BBQ. The double extendable dining table can seat up to 12 people in total comfort.

Madame Jardin provides the perfect combination of casual elegance and practical Caribbean living.

Main House Bedrooms

Upstairs in the Main House, there are three king-size double/twin bedrooms. These are large and individually styled but retain a common theme. Each bedroom has a good-sized wardrobe, a mini safe, a ceiling fan and air conditioning. The beds are all from Hypnos in the UK and fitted with orthopaedic mattresses.

Each of the generous bathrooms has a large walk-in shower and double sinks. The master bedroom is also equipped with a bath.

The French windows leading to the balconies have adjustable louvered side panels for airflow, and these are fitted with mosquito screens. The balconies are equipped with a table, chairs and a lounger.

The balconies of all three main house bedrooms look out over the pool terrace and have magnificent views of the sea from their commanding position upstairs.

Guest House Bedrooms

The two king-size double/twin bedrooms in the separate guest wing are mirror images of each other and have a lockable communicating door between them for those with young children.

As in the main house, each bedroom has Hypnos beds, plenty of wardrobe space, a mini-safe, a ceiling fan, air conditioning and a good sized bathroom with walk in shower.

These rooms can be accessed from the garden or from their own raised balconies, which are each equipped with table and chairs.

Self Contained Garden Room

The Garden Room is a small self-contained studio with a sofa bed, a kitchenette, a shower room and a balcony. It is situated at the front of the Main House, overlooking the drive and garden.

Room Arrangements

Bedrooms 1 to 5 will take two people each. The Master Bedroom 1 has a super king size-only bed. All the other rooms in the Main and Guest Houses have zip together mattresses on two large single divans, so they can be made up either as super king size or twin. In the case of young children, an extra cot or small single bed can be added in one of the rooms at no extra cost.

The Garden Room has a small double sofa bed and is best suited to one person.

For larger groups, additional accommodation is available immediately next door at 'Maca Bana', a charming small boutique hotel offering a selection of one and two bedroom villas.

Just Down the Beach - The Aquarium Restaurant

This is one of the best restaurants on the island, serving fresh fish, lobster and a selection of meats. It's a friendly and relaxed place, informal for lunch and a little more elegant for dinner (though there is no dress code). The Aquarium is open Tuesday through to Sunday – when they do an excellent all day BBQ with a live reggae band.

Transport

Although local taxis are plentiful and easy, Car hire is recommended as the shops and supermarkets of Grande Anse are about a ten-minute drive away. Plus since the island has stunning scenery it's well worth touring.
